Boon Seng Choo   PhD

Founder & Chairman

Dr Choo is a forty-year veteran of the agriculture industry.  He recently retired from the position of General Manager of ADM Dalian, where he turned an experimental foray by the US giant into a profitable premix venture in northeastern China.


Previously, his long career included stints at the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Central Soya, Charoen Pokphand and the Singapore Primary Production Department (PPD, now the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority).  He had spent most of his life traveling and working around the world; besides the Asian agriculture powerhouses like China and Thailand, he also helped to improve the quality of life in such diverse developing nations as Bhutan, Ethiopia, Pakistan and Western Samoa.


He has a PhD degree in Animal Nutrition from the University of New England, Armidale, Australia.  His expertise and interests include animal nutrition and management of feed mill and farm operations.


Calvin Choo   MSc

Founder & Director

Mr Choo is a relative newcomer to the agriculture industry, having made his debut in 2001 at VIV Asia in Bangkok. He was previously a senior staff member of Brilliant Alternatives, Inc., where he held P/L responsibilities for various Asian countries, managing a network of staff, distributors and consultants, while servicing major client accounts personally.


Prior to that, he spent most of his career in the high tech industry, serving both the public and private sectors in such areas as weapons management systems, electronics design, Internet and broadband infrastructure, satellite systems and services, as well as the planning and implementation of national technology policies in Singapore.


He has BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Boston University, and conducted post-graduate research in conjunction with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His expertise interests include corporate advisory, enterprise management and information systems integration.


Ronald A Leng   PhD

Principal Consultant

Prof Leng is presently Professor Emeritus at the University of New England (UNE). After 37 years in research and teaching, he left academia to get more actively involved in the application of what he sees as neglected knowledge in the livestock industries.


He founded the Institute of Biotechnology at UNE and is the author of six books and 300 papers in ruminant nutrition. He was adviser to the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States and provided an authoritative document on the reduction potential of feeding systems for ruminants on methane and global warming. He has also been consultant to the governments of over 30 countries to develop improved dairy and beef systems.


Over his long and illustrious career, Prof Leng has garnered many awards and commendations. These include the Order of Australia, a Fellowship of the Australian Society of Animal Production, and the 2002 Han Award from the Asian-Australasian Association of Animal Production Societies "in recognition of his outstanding contribution to animal production which is of international significance".


He has PhD and Doctorate in Rural Science degrees from the University of New England, Armidale, Australia. He travels extensively to share his knowledge and technology, with primary focus on ruminant nutrition and optimum cattle production in challenging environments.
